It's been awhile since I actually posted on here, hasn't it? I have been reading a health book called The China Study by T. Colin Campbell. It has been incredibly motivating as I've tried to eat even healthier the last month. One thing I've tried to incorporate even more into my diet (I already ate fairly healthy before) is lots and lots of fruits and vegetables. One of the easiest ways to do so has been to make a large smoothie every morning for breakfast. I am able to cram in several servings of fruits and veggies into my smoothies which gives me a great start to long days.
I was recently given the opportunity to test out a product by Rader Farms for an Influenster task. I use a lot of frozen fruits in my smoothies, yet unlike most brands, this product included both fruit and vegetables. I love this option because I was able to tastefully include more veggies than my usual spinach only in my morning smoothie. See my recipe below.
1 c. Rader Farms Fresh Start (Morning Vitality Fusion)
1 c. Other frozen fruit mix (I used Sunrise Growers mix of grapes, strawberries & pineapple)
1 1/4 c. Spinach
1 Medium Banana
1 tbsp. Chia Seeds
1 c. Water
1 c. Almond Milk
